In collaboration with the UK Theater Department and UK Asia Center, The Art Museum at the University of Kentucky brings a sumptuous display of Japanese embroidery to Lexington. Jointly created by the Japanese Embroidery Center in Atlanta and Kurenai-kai, LTD in Japan, Splendid Silk: Japanese Embroidery features over 100 traditional works by contemporary artists including designs on kimonos, scrolls, and samplers. The exhibition will be ever-changing as work is displayed in rotation so that the delicate fabric is not compromised by long exposure to light.

Admission: $8 General Public, $5 Senior Citizens, FREE to UK Faculty, Staff, Students, and Alumni
