A Japanese Manufacturing company in Georgetown,KY is currently looking for a skilled Field Machine Technician to join their team and handle project management, cost estimation, and on-site technical coordination at customer facilities across North America and internationally.

DOE and skills, the pay range for this position would be between the 60k-70k mark with amazing benefits. 

Your essential duties would be as follows: 

  • Project & Site Management: Oversee equipment installation and construction projects at end-user facilities, including managing subcontractors and on-site schedules.

  • Technical Coordination: Coordinate technical requirements between the Japanese parent company and local staff or contractors to ensure specifications are met.

  • Vendor & Customer Management: Conduct on-site inspections of painting booths, ovens, and conveyor systems while maintaining professional communication regarding project status.

  • Cost Estimation: Request and submit quotes from local vendors and the parent company for design, parts, and installation work.

  • Logistics & Documentation: Create work completion reports, installation instructions, and specification reports while managing shipping arrangements and cost control.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Understand design technologies such as psychrometric charts, pressure loss in piping/ducts, and heat sources to ensure equipment efficiency.

  • Experience: Practical experience with manufacturing machines, conveyors, or robots and a strong understanding of production safety (2-3 years of experience required) 

  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of sheet metal, welding methods, and material selection.

  • Software: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

  • Education/Training: Ability to select equipment (pumps, fans, valves) based on design conditions and openness to in-house technology training.

  • Language: Strong English skills; Japanese language skills are considered a plus.
